Travel with us

Small group travel for families with young kids!

Our mission: Make travel enjoyable for both parents AND young kids

What to expect

  • Kid-paced travel: an itinerary specifically designed to not stress anyone out or pack too much in
  • Cultural, historical, and kid-appropriate daytime activities
  • A few evenings with sitters so parents can do grown up activities (like mezcal tasting) and get an actual break
  • YUMMY food: Several dinners at restaurants your foodie friends at home will be jealous of
  • Engagement: Guides that are excited to be spending time with kids
  • Pre-trip educational activities so your kids will have context for where they’re going, which makes a huge difference in their excitement, enjoyment, stamina, and memory.
  • No guilt… other parents who won’t bat an eye if your kid shrieks or has a meltdown because we’ve all been there

How it works

  • You can sign up with families you know already (ie, come as a pre-formed group)

OR

  • You can sign up and we’ll group you with other families (easy peasy and you make new friends!)

Max size 20 (If you have >20 people already, email us)

Min size 16 (If you have <16, email us)

Why Travel With Us?

  • Because there aren’t other small group trips specifically for families with young kids like this. Your alternatives might be Disney Adventures (which are super expensive and often still have an age limit of 5 or 6yrs) or spending a ton of time to design a trip on your own…when we’ve already spent a ton of time meticulously planning and curating it and have personally tried the trip and iterated to make it even better!
  • You’ll have fun, your kids will have fun, you’ll actually have a bit of a “vacation” rather than just a “family trip” where you return home utterly exhausted, and you’ll learn a lot too!

Testimonials

“I’ve already told others about how great it was for families with young children, great balance of activities to keep the kids engaged, learning and trying new things along with time for adults to hang out and do fun stuff. Busy and adventurous but also fun and relaxing! Very authentic cultural experiences, and Jessica organized everything so it was so much easier than planning my own trip.”

— Sarah & Hussein, parents of 5 year old

“the trip wus prfikt”

— Aya, age 5

Yucatan

“Thank you for a meaningful cultural experience for the kids and the adults”

— David, dad of an 8 year old

Mexico City

You think about what kids like to do.”

— Sophia, age 8

Mexico City

“This is a great way to travel with your family to a place “off the beaten path” without the hassle of doing the planning and research yourself. And all super kid friendly. You get to go to a small town of 2k people surrounded by jungle on all sides, experience yummy local food (that you would not find in a restaurant) and the kids will learn a lot and have a blast. Highly recommended!”

— Megan, mom of a 6 year old

About us

Little Stints is owned and run by me, Jessica Webster. Traveling has always been a part of my life. I’ve been to >65 countries, worked in >10, lived in >7, stayed with host families in 4, worked in the travel industry (Expedia), published a book chapter on Sustainable Tourism, coach parents on how to travel with kids (KidTravelCoach.com)…and I have schlepped my four young kids to >25 countries over 5 continents.

I finally tired of this gap in the market where there are no group trips we could go on– and decided I would fill that gap myself. I know what works (and doesn’t!) for traveling successfully with kids and am excited to provide awesome experiences to other families.
