It’s both exciting and (sometimes) daunting to decide which trip is best for your family! It can depend on the everyone’s interests and adventure preferences, weather/timing, flight-ease, and more! Here is some info that can help you! (Note: sometimes there’s no right answer…and in that case throw a dart – you can’t go wrong! And you can always do a second destination later!)

Mexico City and the Yucatan are both enjoyable year round, but they do get much more crowded during the latter part of July and through August, which are considered “High Season”. Travel is generally more enjoyable, more relaxed, and less crowded during other times. Insider tips: the Yucatan is pretty dang dead the week of Thanksgiving and Mexico City is generally very undertouristed the week after Easter.
Marrakech has (much) bigger temperature swings. Spring and fall are excellent times with great weather. November to February, the temperatures are high 60s/low 70s, which is GREAT for travel — but most of the pools aren’t heated, so that might affect some kids’ enjoyment levels…or maybe not. During July and August, the average temperatures are at almost 100, so we just simply aren’t offering any trips then. June is still HOT, but the averages aren’t “as hot”.
